Localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) sensitivity of Au nanodot patterns to probe solvation effects in polyelectrolyte brusheswz
Recently, metallic nanoparticles and nanostructures have been successfully employed as molecular-recognition elements and amplifiers in biosensors, using evanescent electromagnetic fields such as propagating surface plasmon resonance (SPR). The plasmon induced enhancement of the electromagnetic field near the metal surface has been used extensively in sensors, and more recently also to amplify ...
متن کاملHydrogen sensing by localized surface plasmon resonance in colloidal solutions of Au-WO3-Pd
Nowadays, hydrogen has attracted significant attention as a next generation clean energy source. Hydrogen is highly flammable, so detection of hydrogen gas is required. Gold nanoparticle based localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) is an advanced and powerful sensing technique, which is well known for its high sensitivity to surrounding refractive index change in the local environment. We p...
متن کاملE-Beam Patterned Gold Nanodot Arrays on Optical Fiber Tips for Localized Surface Plasmon Resonance Biochemical Sensing
Electron beam lithography (EBL) was used to directly pattern periodic gold nanodot arrays on optical fiber tips. Localized surface plasmon resonance of the E-beam patterned gold nanodot arrays on optical fiber tips was utilized for biochemical sensing. The advantage of the optical fiber based localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) sensors is the convenience to work with and work in harsh en...
متن کاملOptical Fiber LSPR Biosensor Prepared by Gold Nanoparticle Assembly on Polyelectrolyte Multilayer
This article provides a novel method of constructing an optical fiber localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) biosensor. A gold nanoparticle (NP) assembled film as the sensing layer was built on the polyelectrolyte (PE) multilayer modified sidewall of an unclad optical fiber. By using a trilayer PE structure, we obtained a monodisperse gold NP assembled film. The preparation procedure for th...
متن کاملThe Optical Property of Core-Shell Nanosensors and Detection of Atrazine Based on Localized Surface Plasmon Resonance (LSPR) Sensing
Three different nanosensors with core-shell structures were fabricated by molecular self-assembly and evaporation techniques. Such closely packed nanoparticles exhibit fine optical properties which are useful for biochemical sensing. The refractive index sensitivity (RIS) of nanosensors was detected by varying the refractive index of the surrounding medium and the decay length of nanosensors wa...
